Invisalign Treatment in Kelowna - The Clear Choice in Orthodontics

Alright.  So you've been thinking how great it would be to have a better looking smile.  You look in the mirror, stretch back your lips and check things out.  Not bad!  The color's OK, they're clean and shiny, but IF ONLY they were straighter!!

White teeth are very desirable for very many people, but straight teeth may be even more important than that; and here's why...

Straight teeth are more attractive.
When your teeth are properly aligned, your smile is more balanced and aesthetically pleasing. The teeth reveal their true aesthetic proportion and reflect light more naturally.  The color appears more uniform and the teeth look rounder and less pointy.

Straight teeth are healthier.
The health of your gums, your bite and the teeth themselves is dependent in many ways to how the teeth relate to each other.  For example, teeth that are overlapping make it nearly impossible to clean properly with daily brushing and flossing regimens.  If your teeth can't be cleaned properly, mouth diseases such as cavities and gum disease are much more likely to occur.  All too often we discover large cavities between crowded teeth which cannot be detected until a much later stage of breakdown.  Sometimes, malpositioned teeth like this can even lead to tooth loss.  Problems with the bite and excessive "wearing-down" of the teeth is another problem we often see with crooked smiles.

People with straight teeth have a much lower incidence of these kinds of problems overall.  It definitely makes sense to consider having your smile straightened to not only protect the health of your mouth but your entire body as well!  Research now confirms that mouth diseases such as gum disease can have a negative impact on the health of your heart.  http://www.kelownasmiles.com/OraVital.aspx

What options do I have to achieve a straighter smile?
Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry focused on correcting problems with the position of the teeth and the jaw.  Orthodontic problems like crowding, spacing and other issues have traditionally been treated using metal braces and other devices.  While still very effective, most clients we talk to about orthodontics don't get very excited at the prospect of wearing metal brackets and wires.  This is especially true of our adult patients.

In our practice, we've been having amazing results using INVISALIGN.

Why Invisalign?
1.  Invisible.  (No one knows you are in treatment.)
2.  Comfortable.  (No bulky metal brackets or wires.)
3.  Removable.  (Remove aligners to eat, drink, brush and floss.)
4.  Simple.  (Slip in a new aligner every second week. That's it!)
5.  Healthy. (Removable aligners promote healthy teeth and gums.)
